I know which florist will go inside and place the arrangement rather than leave it at the door. I know which chauffeur is still at baggage claim when a flight lands at midnight, and which one has gone home. When an arrival moves, it moves with me, not with you.

Your guests will remember the house. What they judge is whether it was ready.
